About
Eli Meir Kaplan is a photographer and director who became interested in visual media after his parents brought home an early black and white video camera. Eli's first of many videos on the camera was a stop-motion battle between He-Man and Skeletor, which he made when he was four years old.
Eli’s longstanding interest in the visual arts, storytelling, and meeting new people led him to documentary photography. He draws from his documentary background to capture genuine, aspirational, and intimate moments from the human experience in the work he does today.
Eli lives in Washington, DC with his wife and two daughters and has been told that he's fun to work with.
